houston rapper E.S.G. released the single from his 1994 debut Ocean of Funk on Perrion Records, then expanded distribution in 1995 via Priority with an updated radio version on Sailin' da South. the 1995 single included a chopped and screwed remix by DJ Screw, one of his first contributions to an official studio release. production by Sean 'Solo' Jemison and Earl Winters, executive produced by Steven Caldwell and Eric Bowen for Perrion.
