Rumours

Rumours is the eleventh studio album by the British and American rock band Fleetwood Mac, released on 4 February 1977, produced by the band with Ken Caillat and Richard Dashut. Recording sessions were held in a compact 6x9 metre (20 x 30ft) room, and committed to tape on a 24-track 3M open reel. The Sausalito tapes were damaged by repeated use during recording, and a specialist was hired to rectify them using a vari-speed oscillator, converging their speeds aided by the timings provided by the snare and hi-hat audio tracks.
