In My Mind

pharrell williams released his debut solo album on july 25, 2006 through his own star trak label under exclusive license to virgin and distributed by interscope. the album was delayed multiple times from an original november 2005 street date because williams moved faster than interscope's marketing setup, pushing out the gwen stefani single and overseas video for "angel" before the label had promotional strategies in place. pharrell produced the entire record himself without his longtime neptunes partner chad hugo, a first for him at that scale.
