Baby Got Back

Sir Mix-a-Lot wrote and co-produced this with Rick Rubin for Def American after Rubin courted him based on an earlier single, 'I Got Game.' Mix-a-Lot reused the same sounds from that track but sped up the tempo after an initial slow version failed to impress Rubin, who was reviewing demos by fax. The song samples 'Technicolor' by Channel One, a 1986 Detroit techno single.
