Antique Olive

humanist sans serif designed by Roger Excoffon for Fonderie Olive in Marseille, released in stages from 1962 to 1966. the family started with Nord in 1958, followed by the roman weight in 1960, then Compact in 1961, with remaining styles issued through 1971. Excoffon worked under the foundry's director Marcel Olive, and when Fonderie Olive was acquired by Mergenthaler Linotype in 1978, photocomposition rights transferred to Haas.
